The development of BeamReaders new VoxDental platform has simplified integrations into CBCT manufacturer platforms, streamlining the process for doctors to have their patient CBCT scan read by an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. With a new integration into Carestream Dental platforms and the CS Imaging version 8 software, it is simpler than ever to submit cases directly to BeamReaders. This seamless submission of a patient case is made possible through the built in Click & Share platform.

Click & Share can be conveniently found in the latest version of CS Imaging 8—which centralizes and displays all users’ Carestream Dental imaging data. The platform makes it simple to request the interpretation of a 3D radiograph from BeamReaders. It can also help users avoid mistakes with managing imaging data. Say goodbye to challenges related to exporting image volumes and uploading them to a patient case with BeamReaders. It also can eliminate the all-too-common back-and-forth that occurs as you attempt to identify and upload the right files.

Here is how to get started with Click & Share in CS Imaging 8 and submit a case in just five steps.

1. GET THE NEW SOFTWARE

On this Carestream webpage link, please select 'Update Software,' found at the top of the page and follow the prompts. Carestream Dental | CS Imaging 8. Users may also request the latest software version from https://www.carestreamdental.com/en-us/forms/update-central/. Users will fill out a request form with their practice information and a download link will be emailed for the software update. Alternatively, users may contact Carestream Dental Imaging Software support at 866.724.6317 or imagingsoftsupport@csdental.com. Carestream Dental Imaging Software support is available for any troubleshooting necessary.

2. SET UP A CARESTREAM DENTAL ACCOUNT WITHIN CS IMAGING VERSION 8

To access these new cloud services and capabilities, users must then login or register for a single sign on (aka ‘SSO’ or one sign on per user) Carestream Dental account. First, they will click on ‘Sign in’ in the upper right corner.

Then the user will login with or register for a SSO Carestream Dental account.

3. NOW SELECT THE PATIENT’S IMAGING TO SHARE WITH BEAMREADERS

The user will then navigate to the patient’s imaging, and the DICOM image they wish to share with BeamReaders and right click. A window will open with the ‘Click & Share’ option.  

In the new window that opens, a section titled ‘Services’ on the lower half of the screen will show ‘BeamReaders’ as an option. Simply click the ‘Order’ button.

4. REGISTER OR LOGIN WITH BEAMREADERS

At this point the BeamReaders login will appear, and the user will register if using BeamReaders for the first time, or login to their existing BeamReaders account.

New registration: Please note, BeamReaders will send the user an email which must be confirmed to proceed. The user must also enter billing information to be able to order services.  

Existing BeamReaders user:

5. FILL IN ANY SPECIFICS FOR ORDERING THE RADIOLOGY REPORT

Note that the appropriate DICOM file(s) and the patient information are automatically imported, and there is no need for the user to re-enter them! The user will have to enter the Clinical Notes and Private Notes to Radiologist (Private Notes will not appear on the final patient report) and select the appropriate services they wish to order.

Now just click ‘SUBMIT’ to order the radiology report! When the report is finished and ready for you to view, BeamReaders will send you a secure email with instructions on how to access the report.
