After a fulfilling career in Orthodontics, Radiology has broadened my horizons and offers new and stimulating challenges. I enjoy connecting with and providing a service for practitioners from all over the globe. I appreciate the camaraderie of my colleagues at BeamReaders and for the freedom to enjoy working from multiple locations. Along with the hurdles of completing a thirty month specialty program have come many rewards.
Dr. Karen Gaines
Dr. Karen Gaines is an Orthodontist and an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. She started as a Purdue Engineer, then earned her DDS at Baylor in Dallas, her MSD in Orthodontics from St. Louis University and her specialty certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Florida.
After fifteen years of orthodontics in Dallas, Dr. Gaines sold her practice and took a ski and golf sabbatical in Colorado before pursuing radiology. She is a member of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
