Session Three: CBCT - Concepts of Interpretation

Join us for an in-depth exploration of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) and enhance your skills in interpreting and understanding incidental findings in CBCT volumes. This webinar is designed to improve your confidence in using common terms and definitions when describing CBCT pathology and findings. Doctors Nayla Baaklini and Jalal Bukhari will lead the session, offering valuable insights into interpreting CBCT data sets and static images.
Learning Objectives:
i. Understand and interpret CBCT artifacts.
ii. Gain proficiency in examining lesions from multiple dimensions.
iii. Develop skills in describing CBCT findings, including density, borders, and internal content.
iv. Analyze patterns of bone and understand their impact on surrounding structures.

Dr. Baaklini received her Dental Degree in 2010 from Saint Joseph University, School of Dental Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. She then completed her residency training in Prosthodontics at the same university. Dr. Baaklini served as a clinical instructor at Saint Joseph University and continued to practice cosmetic dentistry for over 7 years when she discovered her passion for radiology. Dr. Baaklini completed her residency training at the University of Texas Health Science center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where she also received a Master of Science. She aims to stay up to date on the latest research and publications in her field and is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Bukhari received his B.D.S. degree from Lahore Medical & Dental College in Pakistan in 2010 and then obtained his D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2017. During his time at the University of the Pacific, he worked closely with the radiology department and started to develop an interest in the field of oral radiology. This led to his decision to continue his education and obtaining a certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in New York.
